THE RIGHT CARE FOR HEALTHY TEETH
Only correct and regular care can keep teeth and gums healthy. The toothbrush is the best tool for the effective removal of plaque that makes you sick. When using them, you should note the following:
Choose medium brush heads with medium hard, rounded plastic bristles, not natural bristles.
The bristles should be arranged densely and at different heights
Always rinse toothbrushes thoroughly after use and dry with the brush head facing up.
You should change your toothbrush at the latest when the bristles lose their shape.
Use special brushes for babies and toddlers.
Special toothbrushes, for example interdental brushes, are recommended for gum disease and for denture wearers.
THE RIGHT TOOTHPASTE
Toothpastes are used to remove plaque from the tooth surface. They also contain so-called abrasives. Too many and too coarse of these substances can damage the tooth enamel. Make sure that the toothpaste you use is enriched with fluorides. Children under the age of six should not use adult toothpaste.
THE RIGHT CLEANING TECHNIQUE
Brush your teeth 2-3 times a day, 2-3 minutes each time. Cleaning after meals is not always recommended. After acidic foods, rinse your mouth with water and wait half an hour before brushing. Excessive scrubbing can damage tooth enamel or exposed tooth necks. So that all teeth are cleaned evenly, proceed systematically. We would be happy to explain the different cleaning methods to you. But even with the best brushing technique, the toothbrush does not get everywhere: That is why regular appointments for professional teeth cleaning and the use of dental floss are very important.
