MORE THAN GOT BLOOD: PERIODONTITIS

Periodontitis is the acute or chronic inflammation of the teeth supporting structure. This is dangerous for the tooth: Periodontitis destroys the fibers that hold it to such an extent that it ultimately fails. Periodontitis can spread to other teeth as a bacterial infection and is a major cause of people losing their teeth prematurely.

CAUSE OF PERIODONTITIS

Bacteria live in plaque, the toxins released from them settle in the gums and cause inflammation there. This gingivitis can   usually be treated with professional teeth cleaning . If left untreated, the second stage is periodontitis, which reaches deeper structures: the connective tissue and the bones. Symptoms such as reddened gum line, bleeding gums and bad breath are the result. Even a slight bleeding gum should be taken seriously. Since periodontitis does not cause symptoms for a long time, it is often noticed late.

TREATMENT

After careful analysis, we work out a program to return to an inflammation-free state. In our dental practice, we use laser technology in many cases. The gentle power of light is used in a variety of dental treatments and is also used to support periodontics.
